ConvirtX (‘we’, ‘us’, ‘our’) operates the ConvirtX platform and websites. We are committed to protecting the personal data of our users, customers and event attendees in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and any implementing regulations issued by the UAE Data Office

We collect personal data you provide directly (name, email, phone, employer, job title), event participation data (sessions attended, booths visited, chats, polls, downloads), and technical data (IP address, browser, device, cookies, session identifiers). We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18

We process personal data on the basis of your consent, the performance of a contract to which you are a party, our legitimate interests (product improvement, security, fraud prevention), or compliance with a legal obligation in the UAE. Purposes include delivering the platform, running events on behalf of organizers, analytics, customer support and marketing where you have opted in

We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the site, and — with your consent — analytics and preference cookies. You can change your choice at any time by clearing your browser storage or using the ‘Essential only’ option in the cookie banner

We share personal data only with event organizers who invited you, our vetted sub-processors (cloud hosting, email delivery, analytics) bound by data protection agreements, and public authorities where required by UAE law. We do not sell personal data

Where personal data is transferred outside the UAE, we ensure an adequate level of protection through UAE-approved mechanisms, standard contractual clauses, or your explicit consent, in line with Articles 22–23 of the PDPL

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting or reporting requirements under UAE law. Event data is retained for the duration of the customer contract plus a defined archival period

Subject to the PDPL, you have the right to be informed, to access, to rectify, to erase, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office

We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards aligned with ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II controls, including encryption in transit and at rest, least-privilege access, and continuous monitoring
